AP Studio Drawing

Prerequisite: A sequence of 3 art courses (and/or deparment permission) are required.

*Courses in the sequence must include Foundations in Art, Portfolio Development 1, Drawing 1, Painting 1, or Portfolio Development 2.

This AP course is designed for the art student who is able to make a serious commitment to personal expression through the visual arts in terms of both time and effort. AP credit is not granted based upon a written exam, but rather as the result of an evaluation of an extensive portfolio submitted by the student.

The sophisticated application of artistic knowledge and skills will be represented in the portfolio with works of art and written statements for each. It is recommended that students take the AP Studio Art examination.
